Journey of a Lost Soul
Dan was living a life that was far from satisfying. He didn't know why - Was he sick? Simply depressed? - but he did know that life had become a daily grind, void of true joy or passion, and he was growing weary of his lack of answers. It was a visit to his doctor that changed the trajectory of his life forever. Following that visit, Dan made the decision to quit his job, sell all of his possessions, and start to walk across the country, without a plan and without a destination, hoping to find what he was looking for along the way. He ended up finding far more than he had anticipated, including the realization that all worthwhile journeys must begin with a single step inward, which was the most difficult step of all.

It all started with a fire.

Ben stood and watched as his house, and all his possessions, burned to the ground. But instead of grief, all he felt was relief that night. He was hoping that - along with his clothes and his living room furniture - all his past mistakes, bad memories, and regrets would go up in flames too.
It didn’t quite work out that way.

Newly homeless – and soon to be jobless – Ben spends the next year trying to piece together a new life for himself from the ashes, ultimately ending up in a place that he could have never anticipated when he had first set the fire that night. Along the way, he collects “10 Rules For My New Life” that help him to figure out how to best survive, and thrive, in his new life on Planet Fucket.
